STEP 1: Registration Forms: If you have not already completed your Google form sent through Charms last week that covers the Band Handbook, Private Lessons, Medical Release, Media Form, and et cetera please do so first! The form can be accessed here.

STEP 2: Volunteers: It really does take a village! Halftime shows and competition performances are not possible without our wonderful volunteers. We have many ways that you can help throughout the season. Our biggest need every year and will be this year as well is Props/Equipment for the show. We highly encourage each band family to commit to one away and one home game as well as one competition to help fill the need. For both food crew and chaperones we kindly ask that initially you only take two spots per sign up to leave room for all to serve in those popular areas as well.

Regardless of how you will be serving this year - whether it is directly with the students or not or if you will be in the high school, on a bus, or on the field - you will need to be volunteer cleared through Lovejoy ISD. Volunteer status will be checked prior to each event so go ahead and get cleared today! The volunteer application can be found here.

STEP 3: Meals: Band students will be fed before most games and competition days. The booster does their best to accommodate food sensitivities, allergies, and preferences. Please have your student fill out the meal request form and we will do our best to accommodate your students needs, preferences, and suggestions.

STEP 4: GroupMe: GroupME is intended to communicate urgent needs only that can not wait for an email response. Questions about the schedule should be referred to directors or the band calendar. Non-urgent needs should be emailed to a director. If your student is unsure of any answer on timing, what to wear, etc. we encourage you to have them reach out to their section leaders - this is a helpful way for them to connect with their peers and advocate for themselves. Join GroupME by searching LJ Band Parents 23-24 in your GroupMe app.

STEP 5: Homecoming Blackout Shirts, Uptempo, and Spirit Wear: Homecoming Blackout shirts and UpTempo are the Booster Club's biggest areas for fundraising to cover the costs of the band program and your support is extremely appreciated. Follow this link purchase this year's Homecoming shirt and you can contribute to UpTempo here . Lovejoy Band swag can be found here. Follow this link to donate using UpTempo.

link. You may pay these fees using a credit card or e-check (convenience fees are charged) You may also select to pay with a check or cash (no processing fees) Please make checks payable to Lovejoy Band Boosters and hand deliver to the directors.

As a reminder, each band member will be responsible for purchasing their own pair of black marching shoes. If your student is returning and their shoes still fit and are in good shape, you do not have to buy a new pair. If you have not purchased your student a pair please do so ASAP using this link.
